Attendance

Regular, punctual attendance is valued and positively encouraged for all our pupils to ensure that they can take advantage of all of the learning opportunities every day.

Attending school regularly and punctually has a positive impact on learning, social skills and mental health and enables all children to reach their potential.

We expect all children to achieve attendance of at least 96%.

Each school day, there are 2 registration sessions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

You can support your child to have excellent attendance by:

- Ensuring your child arrives at school on time each day and ready to learn.

- Avoiding taking holidays in term time.

- Booking any medical appointments out of school hours.

- If your child appears to be only slightly unwell, please send them to school.  We will contact you if their condition deteriorates.

Attendance Team

Miss Sheldrake is our Attendance Officer.  She is responsible for ensuring attendance records are kept up to date, analysing data trends and supporting families to improve and celebrate attendance.

Our wider safeguarding team also supports the Attendance Officer to remove any barriers for getting children into school, and on time.  If your child becomes reluctant to go to school, please contact us immediately; we are more likely to be able to work together to solve any problems if we act early.
